This means you can easily amend the sizes of elements of your model, and keep the clutter of multiple families down.

Families can be constructed to be parametric, meaning dimensions of a 3D model can be changed simply by changing a number.

Details of families can be incorporated into schedules, to allow for quick summarising of information.
